Attorney James A. Arneson
The founder of our firm, attorney James A. Arneson, has effectively defended clients throughout the state of Oregon against a wide range of criminal charges since 1977. He is a past President of the Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyer Association and has served on the State Sentencing Guidelines Board. Arneson currently sits on the State Board of the Oregon Civil Liberties Union.
Attorney Thomas C. Bernier
Since beginning his legal career in 1977, attorney Thomas C. Bernier has been dedicated to the fierce defense of adult and juvenile accused citizens. He has spoken at professional conferences on cross-examination, death penalty defense, making the record for appeal and other topics of note for criminal defense lawyers.
Attorney Scott E. Baldwin
Since 1994, attorney Scott E. Baldwin has focused his career on defending clients against criminal charges. Baldwin is a native of Oregon and a graduate of the Willamette University College of Law.
Attorney Erik C. Swallow
Erik C. Swallow began his legal career as a contract attorney and a judicial clerk in Multnomah County prior to establishing his own law practice in Eugene. He joined the Arneson Group in January, 2006. He is a member of the Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyers Association as well as the Criminal Law and Juvenile Law sections of the Oregon State Bar. He graduated from Lewis and Clark Law School, where he was the Ninth Circuit Review editor for Environmental Law and won a Pro Bono award for his public service work.
Attorney Jessica E. Freeman
Attorney Jessica E. Freeman is the latest addition to our firm. She has allowed us to expand our legal services by providing our clients with valuable family law representation. She also represents juveniles in delinquency and dependency matters. Jessica graduated from the University of Oregon School of Law.
